November 18, 2017 Raleigh, NC  What a wonderful and festive time in Raleigh.  There was simply Pyrfect weather as tens of thousands of cheering and waving people lined the streets of downtown Raleigh for the annual Christmas Parade.  The event typically ranks as one of the largest on the East Coast.  This year there were 115 entries including marching bands, festive floats, giant balloons, animals, entertainers, special vehicles, and of course Santa Claus.

The American Kennel Club, headquartered in Raleigh, was again an entry in this year’s parade, supported by dozens of breeds, including the RTP Great Pyrenees Club.  The club had four Pyrenees and five club members walking the over mile long route, waving and greeting the crowds.  It was a great way to start the holiday season with a group of fun loving Pyrs and their two legged companions!
