September 30, 2017 Kerr Lake, NC The Research Triangle Park Great Pyrenees Club held their fall membership meeting at Kerr Lake on September 30, 2017 in association with a club picnic.  We were blessed with a beautiful, sunny and cooler day and the members, two legged and four legged alike, were able to enjoy the beautiful lakeside pavilion.

Club members drove many hours from several surrounding states to join together and not only discuss club business, but join in fellowship around our beloved animals.  We had eight current club members and five guests attend the picnic.  In addition, we had nine Pyrenees and two beautiful King Charles Cavaliers join the festivities for the day.

There was a wonderful selection of food and deserts brought by the club members and Greg has my sincere appreciation of his amazing BBQ Skills.

A couple of the younger Pyrs got to play around in the lake and burn off some energy while getting themselves and their human-Dad absolutely soaked!

Karol Mills generously conducted a grooming tutorial for the club members, explaining the different tools, demonstrating the uses of the tools and explaining the proper end results that are desired from the grooming efforts for both in and out of the show ring.  The handsome Crosby provided his assistance by being on the receiving end of the demonstration.  He did masterfully in his first session on a grooming table and seems to absolutely adore the attention.  Please note, he did not join his siblings in the lake…

The site of next year’s picnic has not yet been decided, but the Club intends to continue this wonderful tradition of gathering and sharing time with each other and the animals we love.
